Wyler Vetta Watches

Wyler Vetta traces its history to Paul Wyler, the Basel watchmaker who pioneered the development of watch balances beginning in 1896. Wyler patented the 'Incaflex' in 1927, a breakthrough in shock-resistance. He went on to receive nine more patents in balances, materials and pressure resistance.

Wyler also 'invented' the advertising testimonial when he put Wyler Vetta watches on the Italian soccer team in 1934. In 1956, a Wyler timepiece was thrown from the top of the Eiffel Tower, in another publicity coup,And it still worked! After the trying era of the quartz revolution, Wyler was purchased by Binda, who re-launched the brand in 2002.

Wyler Vetta Product Line

Espacit Automatic Watches and Chronographs (model 8-11678-001-2) is the flagship collection of Wyler Vetta, featuring the exclusive Wyler Vetta 7750 movement. Specifically placed rubies along with the movement can be seen through the transparent sapphire crystal case back, set on a steel case. Water resistant to 330 feet, this retails for $1398. This also comes in a rose gold case for a significantly higher price.
The Wyler Vetta Valency Watch is a recent introduction. With a very Latinate design, the limited series was presented at the Basel Fair of 2004. The crystal is sapphire with a back held by 4 screws. Featuring ETA 2892-A2 automatic movement and water resistance to 165 feet, this has a retail price of $1199.
The Coubertin Collection Watch features an automatic chronograph as its top model. Featured in a 39.5mm case, the Coubertin has ETA 2894-2 movement under a sapphire crystal with a display back. Water resistant to 330 feet, this has a manufacturer's list price of $1850 for the leather strap and $1890 for the steel bracelet.
The Wyler Vetta Beaux Arts watch and chronograph series (model 8.14677.009) is listed as the second most important Wyler Vetta collection. This series is a recreation of Wyler Vetta's grand classic from the 1950's. The Dynastar Watch features chronographs and watches with lunar phases and perpetual calendars. This model comes with 18K gold case, leather strap with deployment buckle and a sapphire crystal. Water resistant to 165 feet, this model has a retail price of $5080.

The Wyler Vetta Montreux is a series of quartz watches, lower priced than other Wyler Vetta series. Wyler Vetta continues to re-establish its name in the prestigious club of luxury watch brands.
