Swatch Watches
Swatch was one of the first watch brands to add bold colors to its watch designs – way back in the 1980’s. This simple innovation (plus lots of advertising money) made Swatch into a household name and influenced other luxury watch brands to adapt color as a design motif. Today, Swatch is still popular. Some lines that Swatch itself calls luxury (let’s be honest, luxury watch aficionados – this is luxury plastic) are listed below.
Warranty
Swatch watches come with a 2-year warranty. In the US, the Swatch Group has a Service Center in Lancaster, PA (PO Box 3610). In Canada, this service center is found at 555 Richmond Street West, in Toronto (phone 1-416-703-1667).Swatch Luxury Watches
The Swatch Wild Mani 2004 was sold exclusively at Swatch’s luxury store in Paris and Milan. It features a black face with gold hands and a flashy tiger print strap. You may still be able to find this model at auction for approximately $185 US.
The Swatch Skeleton Special. It’s a watch, it’s a dinosaur, it’s a Skeleton! When you pull the tail of the one horned triceratops (another world’s first?), the watch is revealed. It’s definitely unusual. This model can still be found in reasonable condition for around $125 US.
The Swatch Soupe de Poisson, originally made in 1993, comes in the shape of a clam that pops open, with some string netting for effect.
The Swatch Drop Game (Model SFK217GPUPACK is pictured). This model comes with a silver face and a choice of silver or gold hands and was available for the Christmas of 2004—but only at Swatch’s Luxury Store in Milano or in Vendome Paris. You might be able to find it on the internet. Its original list price was just under $200 US.
