Jorge Schauer is always a favorite at the world's watch show in Basel, Switzerland. He is an aficionado of the industrial look, with big steel watches, in a style somewhat similar to the Temption watches. Schauer hand creates about 50 watches per year, personally designing and building cases and dials over ready made Swiss movements.
His Edition Wall Street watch made a big splash at Basel, in 1999. Schauer's two partner brands, Stowa and Durowe both have a longer history in the watchmaking business.

Schauer Product Line
The Kleine Schauer Watch (model 1561) was an award winning watch, for its hand winding 2801 movement, when it was first introduced. The original model is no longer available. This new version, introduced in the fall of 2004, features a white dial. Both feature sapphire crystal, both front and back, in a stainless steel case, listing at $1200.
The Piccolo Watch is a similar, but smaller (32 mm) version, designed with women in mind. This model is listed for approximately $1000.
The Schauer Sportstop Watch was introduced in 2004. Featuring two rotating bezels, to time the duration of events, the case is titanium with a solid back. The bezels and the crown are created from stainless steel. With luminous features and automatic movement this watch lists for approximately $1200, with a rubber strap and it costs slightly more with leather or steel.
The Schauer "Kulisse" Watch features a beveled bezel giving the watch a softly contoured look. The chronograph features Valjoux 7750 movement. It also features sapphire crystals both front and back. This model comes with a cream dial and a nappa leather strap and it retails for $2450.
The Schauer Platinum Series Watch lives up to its name. In 2004, these were made available in a 50 piece limited series, with transparent caseback, displaying the Valjoux 7750 movement of the automatic chronograph and a 30 minute counter. The hands are blued steel. The Schauer Platinum series watch comes with choice of a nappa leather, crocodile, steel or rubber strap. Price by request.
