Held by many to be the epitome of the luxury watch, the Rolex legend began to grow in 1926, with the introduction of the "Oyster Case;" the world's first waterproof wristwatch. The Rolex "Perpetual" was the first automatic winding watch to use a revolutionary rotor.

Rolexes were worn by both Sir Edmund Hillary and his Sherpa guide Tensing Norgay as they ascended Everest in 1953. Rolex had the vision to perfect the wristwatch, while the pocket watch was king. It was the first watch company to use advertising.

Today, the Rolex Yachtmaster upholds the Rolex legacy.

Warranty

Rolex Geneve prohibits authorized dealers from selling Rolex watches on the internet. A Rolex watch sold on the web can only be warranted by the vendor. New Rolex watches are only available from an authorized Rolex dealer. Rolex warranties are not transferable.
