Oris (from Basel, a German-speaking part of Switzerland) has a rich history dating back to 1904. It is nearly synonymous with mechanical watches in the minds of many watch enthusiasts. In the 1950's, Oris became very popular with its anticipation of the need for a mechanical watch, reasonably priced. Their catchy slogan was, "It's high mech by Oris."
In the watch renaissance of the 1990's Oris benefited. Today, Oris combines traditional watchmaking techniques with modern microtechnology in unique pieces such as the Big Crown Original watch. Many watch lovers already consider these low-priced collectors' items.

Oris products (except the case, buttons, band, and battery) are warranted by Oris, to the original purchaser, to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of two years from the date of purchase.
Oris Product Line
The Oris TT1 Regulator Watch (model 64975417064RS) features Oris Red-Rotor High-Mech automatic movement. It comes in a 44 mm titanium casing, with subdials for hours, seconds and date at 3, 9, and 6 respectively. The Oris regulator watch has a transparent mineral crystal and case back. Water resistant to 3300 feet, this lists for $1800, but is available for less.
Oris Ladies TT1 Date Watch (model 58375244361MB) features the Oris Red-Rotor High-Mech automatic movement and 17 jewels with a 38 hr. power reserve. A perfect companion to the watch above, this features a silver dial with gold bezel and marking, with a date indicator at 3 o'clock and polished hands with Superluminova inlay. Water resistant to 330 feet, this lists for $1200, but is available for less.
The Oris Miles Rectangular Ladies Watch (model 56175354968LS) has many of the features listed above, with 4 rows of diamonds. Water resistant to 100 feet, it lists for $2625.
The Oris Big Crown BC3 Watch (model 63575004161MB) is a 40 mm stainless steel case with a silver dial. This also features automatic movement and a sapphire crystal and back. The dial comes with luminous indices and hands. Water resistant to 165 feet, this lists at $787.
