The "watch of railroad accuracy," Hamilton rose to prominence in America in the 1890's. It helped put an end to the rash of train crashes of that era. Its history grew more storied during the advent of air mail, when it became the official watch of several airlines in the 1930's.

The Hamilton Ventura Ladies Watch (model 626016) features a goldtone case with a tang buckle. The original design was created in 1957 and was intended to resemble the tail fin of a Cadillac. Water resistant to 100 feet its suggested retail price is $ 495.
