Gucci entered the timepiece trade, in November 1997, when the Gucci Group NV acquired the Severin Montres Group. Severin Montres, one of the world's largest watch manufacturers and a Gucci licensee for 23 years, already had extensive distribution in North America, Hong Kong, the UK and Germany.

Warranty
Gucci watches are warranted by Gucci to the original purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of two years from the date of purchase.
Gucci Product Line
The Gucci 1400 Women's Watch (model 1400.214) features an 18K gold plated stainless steel case framing a white dial with gold colored hands.
