Daniel JeanRichard was a 17th century teenage visionary with whom competitors refused to deal. Undaunted by their rejection he built his own divisor to construct both pinions and wheels. By the time of his death he employed 446 people.
Today, the company is owned by Luigi Macaluso who has set out to restore the name to its former eminence.
